Scribo was built with our users’ privacy and security in mind. We don’t use tracking software on the Scribo platform, and Scribo will not access your contacts. Nobody (not even Scribo) can view an encrypted file that was uploaded by the user.

Scribo uses the latest encryption techniques and algorithms to secure data, which includes the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) with a 256-bit key. This is the same encryption standard used by governments and banks to protect confidential data. The 256- bit key is derived from your secret password using a function that adheres to RSA Laboratories’ Public Key Cryptography Standards (PKCS). Your secret password and encryption key are never stored and your encrypted file and filename are secure and can only be accessed by using your selected password.

Scribo is built with certified approval from HIPAA, SOX, SOC2, Type 2, AES 256 and GDPR, and is created, hosted and maintained in the US.

Other websites and services use only some of these certifications or none at all. We are committed to protecting your data with the best available technology.
